Some D/F Machine Specialties Catalogs, Forms, Instruction Manuals and CAD Files are downloaded in compressed file format: files within a ZIP folder. The files are 'zipped' to reduce download time.
Extracting Files from ZIP Files:
Right-click the ZIP file and choose 'Extract All'. Follow the steps provided. If this option is not available, files can be 'unzipped' by using free programs such as WinZip® or 7-Zip.
Opening & Reading PDF Files:
D/F recommends Adobe Reader® or Foxit Reader® for viewing PDF files.
Opening & Reading CAD Files (.igs, .stp, .x_t, etc.):
D/F's CAD files are meant to be viewed with 3D Modeling software, or 3D Model viewing software. The .zip files include several versions of each CAD model to try to accommodate a wide range of software. Open and view each of the included formats in your 3D Modeling or viewing software to see which works best for you.
