Curved Nozzle Kit #13925
The D/F Curved Nozzle Kit is readily adaptable to the Semi-Automatic MIG Water-Cooled Pistol Grip Gun to extend the Water-Cooled Nozzle for easy access to hard to reach weld locations. The optional Curved Nozzle Kit is available with a 55° nozzle that can be attached in place of the regular gas cup. The curved nozzle can be turned in any direction from the front of the torch. The kit is available with bent current tips accommodating a wire diameter range of .035"-1/16" for hard wire, and 3/64"-1/16" for aluminum wire.

Installation
To adapt the Curved Nozzle, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the existing Gas Nozzle, Current Tip and Collet Nut from the Water-Cooled Nozzle.
2. Fasten the Adapter (13927) using the Wrench (12116) into the forward end of the Water-Cooled Nozzle.
3. Place the Collet Nut on the Bent Current Tip and tighten to provide access to welding condition desired.
4. Slide the Curved Nozzle (10365) over the Bent Current Tip until it engages in the Adapter. Fasten the curved end of the Curved Gas Nozzle by tightening the Lock Nut (13926). Observe the latter carefully so that the curved nozzle remains concentric to the Bent Current Tip.
D/F Torch Rack and Mount
Overview
An optional D/F Torch Rack can be used on any Automatic or Robotic torch with our standard sized Water-Cooled Nozzle Assemblies (8" long, 1.125" diameter). The 6" rack has 32 pitch gear teeth and slips right over the torch's water-cooled nozzle, secured with 4 set screws. If you are currently using a Profax 400 AMT, 450 AMT, or 500 AMT Machine Torch with a 32 pitch rack barrel, or any American Weldquip 300A, 400A, or 500A Air-cooled torch with a 32 pitch rack barrel and having excessive down time because of torch failures, you can now easily swap out those torches for a Heavy Duty D/F Water-Cooled Machine Torch with a 6" Rack. Also, if you are using the Koike Aronson K866842800 Torch Holder Assembly, 1-3/8" Dia. 32 Pitch Rack, a BUG-O BUG-5188 Rack Holder, or any 32 pitch 1-3/8" diameter rack holder, you can easily drop a heavy duty D/F Water-Cooled high amperage machine barrel into that torch mount using the D/F 6" Rack. The rack holder makes vertical torch head positioning very easy giving the user a range of 3.5" vertical height adjustment.

The 12111 Wrench for Threaded Tips and Collet Nuts
The contact tip is a very important part of the torch and the welding process. D/F contact tips do last a long time, but like any consumalble they need to be changed to maintain quality welds. It is important that the D/F Contact Tip Wrench is the only tool used to loosen or tighten a D/F collet nut or threaded contact tip. Threaded tips and collet nuts (for slip-in tips) should be threaded completely into the front end, tight enough so they do not move, but only hand-snug as to not damage the threads. When tightening, pressure should be 30 lbs., or as snug as hand-tightened. Never use another wrench or tool to apply more torque to this wrench.
Overview
D/F Machine Specialties provides protective sheaths to help prevent damage and extend the life of the casing/conduit, water in hose, Water Out & Power Cable, and gas hose on all torches. It is also a means of providing a tight, clean harness of all the utilities from the torch to the wire feeder, Utility Station, etc. Depending on the model purchased, the sheaths will come in various materials: Stitched Black, Velcro Black, or Stitched Blue. See below to determine which replacement sheath is needed for your specific torch.

Proper Use of a D/F Nozzle Thread Chaser Tap
CAUTION: Incorrect use of a Nozzle Thread Chaser Tap can cause severe damage to a Nozzle. Do not cross-thread the Nozzle. Also, do not tap past the last threads in the Nozzle. Always make sure the threads are clean.
All D/F Nozzles are hand checked for fit before & after plating, and checked again before shipping. If a nozzle has been installed on a new complete torch, they have also been hand checked while being assembled.
The only reason to ever take a gas cup out a nozzle is to clean it. The nozzle and the gas cup must be blown out, and all of the threads have to be wire brushed and blown out again before hand-tightening the gas cup back in the nozzle. If you can’t thread it in by hand, something is wrong. Never force a gas cup into a nozzle.
- Make sure that the nozzle is properly supported when tapping so that it does not twist in the front of the torch body and cause damage.
- Improper support can cause the spigots to twist off the top of the rear nozzle collar, or damage the torch internal body parts.
- Note where the water ports go down the sides of the water-cooled nozzle (following down in line with the spigots). Too much direct pressure on these water ports could cause them to cave in and block of the flow of water.
- Best practice is to hold the water-cooled nozzle in a vice with soft jaws, perpendicular to the spigots.
- Over-tightening of the vice can cause damage in general.
- Remove the tip from the front of the torch before tapping.
- Lightly lubricate the nozzle and nozzle thread chaser tap before tapping.
- Be sure to start the tap very carefully. Do not cross thread the nozzle.
- Be very careful to start threads correctly. Only tap 1/2 turn at a time, always backing up and removing chips 1/2 cycle at a time before moving forward. Do not try to tap further into the water-cooled nozzle than needed or past the factory thread depth.
- Blow out the nozzle after tapping.
- Wire brush and blow off the gas cup before threading it back into the nozzle.
- If nozzle is badly deformed or damaged please return to the factory for a repair estimate before disposing of product (damaged parts can often be repaired).
