Overview
D/F Machine Specialties does not manufacture or sell the Cyclomatic® Magnetic Oscillator. Please contact Miller Welding for more details.
D/F Machine Specialties recommends the Cyclomatic® Magnetic Oscillator from Miller Welding
Cyclomatic® Magnetic arc controls can provide even heat distribution, prevent undercutting, eliminates excessive porosity, ensures sufficient penetration, and evens out the weld puddle for TIG (GTAW) and Plasma Arc Welding (PAW).
Features
- 8020 Control for single axis- System packages include 8020 control and one Single axis Probe assembly Single axis probe options:
Model 4608C Probe with 8 ft. cable
Model 4604 Probe with 8 ft. cable - 4608C Magnetic probe- This dual tip probe slips over a conventional TIG torch and can be used either for crossseam weaving or in-line weaving.
- 4604 Magnetic probe- This single tip, water-cooled probe works well in tight clearances and adapts to conventional torches.

Sil Glyde Silicone Lubricant
Overview
D/F uses Napa Sil-Glyde Lubricating Compound to lubricate the O Rings for the #40025 and #36807 Transfer Fittings.
Sil-glyde is a long-lasting, high film strength lubricant for all surfaces, including: Rubber, metal, wood and glass. Lubricates & protects rubber weather stripping, rubber to metal contact points, prevents squeaks, freezing, repels water on ignition systems, halts corrosion & oxidation, prevent doors & windows from sticking.
- Non-melting
- Non-freezing
- Non-gumming
- Non-cumbustable
- Weatherproof
If you have any questions about the Sil-Glyde lubricant visit the NAPA website or other, do not hesitate to contact the D/F Machine Specialties at (507) 625-6200 or by email at

GFM In-Line Gas Flow Monitor
Overview
D/F Machine Specialties does not manufacture the Gas Flow Monitor. Please refer to the "Ordering" section below for more details.
The Gas Flow Monitor (GFM™) by Computer Weld Technology precisely measures flow rates of welding shielding gases using the state of the art MEMS flow sensor with OLED graphic display.
The GFM™ has 6 selectable gas settings, ARGON, Argon/ CO2 (90/10), Argon/ CO2 (80/20), Argon/ CO2 (75/25), Helium, and CO2. The GFM™ can be custom ordered and configured for additional gas mixturess.
A flow rate (5 to 255 SCFH) is digitally displayed with a 1 SCFH resolution. The accuracy of the 3% of full scale reading on the GFM™ is considerably better than conventional ball type flow meterse.
The GFM™ can be installed in-line, downstream of the gas regulator for permanent installations, and is available in a battery powered configuration with a rubber cone for testing gas flow at the welding torch nozzle throughout the shop.
WARNING - Do Not use with any flammable gases.
Features
- When fully charged, the battery operated version operates for up to 24 hours
- Capability to limit test, provide an accumulated gas usage and peak flow rates as well as displaying on-going gas flow rates.
- The unit also provides an analog output voltage representing measured gas flow rates.
- The GFM also has a Modbus® RS-485 serial port. The sensor can communicate with third party controllers via the Modbus® protocol. The sensor defines 16 coils and 10 Registers for use with the Modbus® serial port.
- The GFM uses an OLED graphic display panel to display the gas flow rates, to provide programming menus and user defined optional parameter display.
- The GFM is software configurable for English or Metric units of measure with 6 user selectable gas types.
Benefits
- The convenience and accuracy of the GFM enables this welding tool to pay for itself many times over
- The in-line version is designed to be permanently installed in a welding fixture to continously monitor the gas flow rate
- The portable version can be used to check the gas flow rate directly at the welding torch
- An internal fault relay can be used to warn or interrupt the welding process if an out-of-limits condition is detected
- Provides gas "Sure-Flow" switch capability for Robotic and Automatic Weld Fixtures
- Reduces gas usage by allowing proper setting of the gas flow rates at the nozzle
- Reduces costly weld repairs by assuring proper gas flow rates

High Temperature Fiberglass Tape
Overview
For any water-cooled application it is important to keep a torch cool to avoid damage, downtime, and increase consumable life. Additional protection for the torch is needed when working with preheat. D/F recommends a high temperature fiberglass wrap to wrap the full length of the body and to protect it from the reflective heat. This high temperature tape is heat, flame and fire resistant. This fiberglass (fibreglass) knitted tape is fabricated from high quality type E fiberglass that will not burn and will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures of 1000°F / 520°C.
The following technical specifications are recommended for choosing the correct fiberglass tape:
- Fiberglass Type: E Glass
- Effect of Heat: Will Not Burn; Withstand continuous exposre to at least 1000°F
- Thermal Insulating
- Non-cumbustable
- High chemical resistance (bleach, solvents, acids, alkalis)
If you have any questions about the high temperature tape or other recommended products, please do not hesitate to contact the factory at (507) 625-6200 or by email at
