Remote Mounting - A method of mounting a torch where the torch is mounted away from the wire feeder and fixed by a mounting arm or bracket. The wire runs through a casing/conduit from the wire feeder and through the torch.

Robotic Welding - A type of Automatic Welding where weld parameters do not change during the welding process. A robotic torch would be fixed to a robot arm that uses repetitive motion to complete consistent welds.

Semi-Automatic Welding - A welding process whose parameters do not change during the welding process, but can be switched on and off by the welder with a button or switch. A semi-automatic torch would be held in the welder's hands, and position would be controlled manually.
